Job Description:

Our Garden Segment is searching for a Packaging and Coating Machine Operator in our El Centro, CA location. This position monitors machines that prepare grass seed for packaging and distribution. MEASURES OF SUCCESS Operate Coating or Packaging Machine * Placing product in machine and monitoring the coating once process is complete changing the to the packaging machine * Packaging product to customer specifications * Placing packaged product onto pallets * Using a forklift, stack finished material and place in holding area * General housekeeping of the work area by using the blower and clearing debris * Must be able to have an acceptable lines per hour capability with minimum errors IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES * High school diploma or equivalent required * Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner WORKING CONDITIONS * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature ranges from 115 to 40 Fahrenheit. * Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time. * Seasonal Overtime required At Central Garden & Pet (NASDAQ: CENT and CENTA), we believe home is at the center of our lives, and our employees are driven by our purpose to nurture happy and healthy homes.
