Description: Mary's Tack and Feed in Del Mar, CA has an immediate opening Full time Feed Store Associate - Driver Successful candidate will be c apable of heavy lifting and loading of 50-pound feed bags and 80-pound hay bales. Friendly with good customer service and phone skills. you will help our customer's in store and on the phone taking delivery orders. Must be able to work some weekends. We are open every day and we need staff scheduled in Feed everyday; we make deliveries everyday too. Shifts as early as 8am, shifts go as late as 7pm.Subject to change based on business needs. Basic horse knowledge or willingness to learn. We are retail store that caters to horse owners and riders. Knowing and loving horses is great! Being willing to learn is Awesome. Product knowledge training provided. Must have a clean DMV record . You'll become a driver within 2-3 months and we can only insure you if you have a clean DMV Benefits! EOE Responsibilities and Duties Assist loading and unloading delivery trucks (hay, feed, bedding) Feed bags are 50 pounds, hay bales can range up to 80 pounds. Stock feed/hay/bedding/etc in assigned storage areas Conscientiously load customer vehicles with product Assist with deliveries on feed truck. After successful training - will make customer deliveries on feed truck to assigned local barns (must have clean DMV) Restock store shelving Merchandising, tagging and cleaning, pest control Talk to customers in person and on the phone. Other duties as needed Requirements: Good customer service skills I Good phone skills I Physically Strong or prepared to get there! This position will be loading hay and feed bags that can weigh up to 80lbs. It is 70% outdoor work.
