Mindlance Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Yuma,
Arizona, 85364! ID: 75114407 Shift: 12H Nights 1845-0715
Description: Unit DATE: 2/9Start Dates are not flexible.Department:
Labor and DeliveryRadius Rule: 100 miles- of L&D Beds: 9- of OR
Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 2- of Triage beds: 7- of Births
per day: Average 9/day, 250 a month, 3000 per year.- Do you follow
AWHONN guidelines for ratios: Try to follow 1:1 or 1:2, 2 patients
is pretty common. - Required Certifications: BLS, NRP,
AWOHNN-Intermediate or Advanced.- Common diagnoses/Types of
patients: 28 weeks and above, lot of HTN, 7-10% no prenatal care,
high Spanish speaking, tele monitoring. Spanish speaking would be
great. - Experience: Must be able to do a vaginal exam (if come
from teaching facility-they have less skill since medical
students/residents do these). Scalp electrodes, Circulate a
C-section, Newborn transitions, Assist anesthesiology, IV starts,
Blood draws, APGARS assignments-must know, Postpartum hemorrhage
control- SIM lab coming-fall 2023, Epidurals, Amnio infusion. Water
birth-not a must have, just for knowledge. Preferred: experience
with spinning babies.- Are RNs required to titrate , Pitocin,
insulin, blood.- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?: Yes, free
charge.- Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit: OB
Techs.- OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7: Yes- RT Equipment:
BVM-neonates; T-Piece resuscitator.- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs
on this unit: Tele on unit- cardiac monitor tech on adult side of
hospital- OB RNs do not need to read tele. Charge and relief
charges and some core have ACLS.- EFM System: CPN centricity.-
Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45-7:15am/pm.- Weekend Requirements: 3
weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. Noc: Fri/Sat. Day: Sat/Sun.-
Holiday Requirements: Typically 2/3 holidays, includes eve/day of.
Will be On-Call-as much as you like, not mandatory. Please note in
interview notes traveler agrees to holiday requirements (will be
assigned 2 out of 3 holidays within contract, holidays are
considered the eve/day of).- Is there a call or standby Census On
Call.- Floating as well as MedSurg or ICU with appropriate patient
assignment- downgraded, or RDU. L&D nurses may be assigned
antepartum patients.They have to be able to take care of baby for
two hours after delivery. If they do not have post partum
experience they won t be sent there but they have to be prepared
that they will take care of antepartum patients.- Scrub Color:
Provided hospital scrubs.- How many shifts of unit/department
specific orientation: One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC, one day floor.
Cancellation may cancel hours equivalent to the weekly guaranteed
hours for the assignment 36, 40, or 48 for a 13 week assignment.
For all 26-week assignments, the cancellation policy will be
doubled. Charting BSN License to Trauma Level:2 Care Shift Required
Notes, BLS Certification, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP
