Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery role requiring a current CA RN license, advanced certifications, and two years of recent L&D experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in an acute hospital Labor & Delivery unit - Unit consists of 14 L&D beds, 2 OR suites, and performs triage in L&D - Patient population includes laboring, induction, cesarean, antepartum with complications, fetal demises, and triage patients 20 weeks gestation or greater - Average of 3-4 births per day - RN ratios adhere to AWHONN guidelines - RNs are required to titrate drips such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium - Electronic charting is done using Cerner with Fetal Link - 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, every other weekend required - One on-call shift required every two weeks - No floating required - Scrubs are light blue and provided for each shift - One-day unit-specific orientation provided - Work with a team that includes an OB tech and 24/7 in-house OB and Neonatologist coverage - Pulse oximetry used routinely; telemetry monitoring is provided for magnesium patients - Required to pass unit-specific testing on dysrhythmia and sterile technique as part of orientation - Holiday coverage includes one major and two minor holidays - First to float if unit-based floating becomes necessary - Orientation includes 12 hours on the unit /n /n Requirements/n - Active CA RN license is required for consideration - Minimum of 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and NIHSS - Experience with electronic charting using Cerner preferred - Ability to titrate obstetric drips required - Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years - Copy of driver's license must be provided - Must not have been employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-637403.
