Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Travel RN – Operating Room (CVOR) Location: 7901 Frost Street, Sharp Memorial Hospital Pay: $90/Hr. Shift: 12Hr. Days On Call: 12 hours Friday night overnight and 12 hours Saturday (day or night depending on the need) per 4-week schedule, with 30min response time 13 weeks contract with possible extension. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – Operating Room (CVOR) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will primarily support Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) cases and will assist with other surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neuro, and Robotics when cardiac cases are not scheduled. Key Responsibilities Provide patient- and family-centered nursing care aligned with individualized, holistic goals Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care safely and effectively Develop and document individualized plans of care (IPOC) in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Implement age-appropriate and culturally competent nursing interventions Monitor patient and family response to care and adjust plans as needed Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary communication Identify patient and family educational needs; develop and evaluate individualized education plans (IPER) Advocate for patients by supporting informed decision-making and upholding patient rights Recognize and address communication barriers using interdisciplinary resources Accurately document care per departmental policies and regulatory standards Delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members within scope of practice Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals to support workflow and patient outcomes Required Skills & Experience Strong CVOR experience (mandatory) Ability to float to Ortho, Neuro, and Robotic cases when CVOR volume is low Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to new environments and workflows as a travel nurse Licensure & Certifications Active California RN License (Required) CPR Certification (Required) Education & Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in Operating Room / CVOR About Aimic Inc Aimic provides essential support by connecting healthcare facilities with qualified professionals.
