Job Description Ironwood Veterinary/nClinic, located in Yuma,
AZ, is looking for a Medical Director / Managing Veterinarian to
join/nour practice Ironwood Veterinary Clinic in Yuma, Arizona has
been/nvoted ‘Yuma’s Best Veterinary Clinic, providing progressive
medicine, surgery,/nand dentistry for dogs and cats. We have the
opportunity to expand our services/nto large animal patients and
welcome that interest/experience. Our clientele are loyal and
friendly, as is our/nexperienced staff. Our clinic features digital
radiographs, including/ndigital dental x-ray, ultrasound,
chemotherapy, Ultra-sonic dental equipment,/nisoflurane anesthesia,
a fully-equipped surgical suite with electrocautery,/northopedic
surgery equipment, and AVIMark. We’re looking for a/nsmall animal
veterinarian experience in surgery/dentistry. For
candidates/ninterested in ownership, we’ll consider offering a 10%
buy-in opportunity for/nthe right candidate. Once integrated with
the practice and community, you would/nthen smoothly transition to
the JV Partner/Medical Director. The responsibilities as/nthe
Medical Director / Managing Veterinarian include continuing to grow
the business, provide/nexceptional medical care to our patients,
leading the decision-making process/nfor medical protocols,
staffing, manage associate veterinarians, assuring/nregulatory
compliance, leadership development and provide overall
medical/nleadership for the hospital. The Medical Director role
is/nresponsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which
quality medicine/nand exceptional client service are consistently
delivered. The Medical/nDirector partners with the Hospital Manager
(Field/Divisional Leadership/nTeam) to drive financial performance
and general operations of the hospital and/nto more broadly
cultivate a supportive and collaborative team environment.
This/nhospital-level team is supported by their AZ Divisional
Leadership who provides/npractice management training, reporting,
and ongoing resources to develop a/nbest in class hospital. The
hospital is one of many that report into this AZ/ndivision, so the
Medical Director can expect to network with and learn from/npeers
in similar roles in veterinary clinics nearby. The
Medical/nDirector reports directly to the NVA Arizona Division
Lead. About Our Hospital /n - Digital Radiography /n - Ultrasound
(GE) Machine /n - Digital X-Ray /n - Dental Aire Prestige Machine
and Digital Dental X-Ray /n - In-House Laboratory /n - Pulse
Oximetry, ECG and Doppler Blood Pressure/n available for
monitoring. /n - Complete pharmacy – large inventory of
established/n pharmaceuticals as well as many of the latest
medications /n - Paper-lite Medical Records with the Newest
AVIMark/n System Duties and/nResponsibilities Advancing Medical
Care /n - Establishes medical protocols and provides appropriate/n
training to associate doctors. /n - Oversees surgical and medical
cases for all doctors,/n ensuring positive outcomes, accurate
estimates, and client communication/n and education. /n - Answers
client questions and concerns regarding medical/n and surgical
procedures. /n - Provides oversight and direction of medical
standards/n and quality of care. /n - Minimizes waste and controls
costs relating to medical/n supplies, surgical instruments, and
drug inventories. Leading Staff and/nPractice /n - Participates in
the recruiting and interviewing process/n for associate doctors
and, when appropriate, general staff members. /n - Monitors
associate doctor performance and production. /n - Provides
mentorship, feedback, and guidance to/n associate doctors both in
the moment and via the structured annual review/n process. /n -
Develops and monitors hospital-specific client/n compliance
protocols and procedures. /n - Participates in technician appraisal
and medical/n counseling sessions. /n - Ensures all medical staff
receive applicable training,/n including the mentoring of new
graduates. /n - Supports the Hospital Manager with staff training/n
programs and tracking CE and DVM licensure.
Financial/nResponsibilities /n - Drives revenue and hospital
contribution growth./n Assists associate doctors in achieving
agreed-upon production levels by/n providing clear guidance for the
appropriate level of medicine and/n compliance by our clients. /n -
Manages to appropriate medical expenses; ensures/n pricing is
appropriate and that all clients are charged for the services/n
they receive. /n - Assists in the preparation of an annual
planning/n strategy, operating budget, and capital budget. /n -
Monitors, understands, and acts upon key financial/n reports. /n -
As JV you will share in expenses and profits of the/n hospital. You
will invest in the hospital through driving/n performance, sharing
and earning additional compensation in ownership. Growing the
Practice /n - Maintains and builds the reputation of the clinic
it/n the community; encourages positive ongoing community
involvement. /n - Embraces change and supports innovative programs
within/n the hospital. /n - Monitors client service, marketing, and
NVA growth/n initiatives. /n - Seeks out ways to innovate
operational practices that/n improve the growth of the practice. /n
- Understands the need and opportunity to add doctors to/n the

Management/nCompensation You/nare eligible to earn up to 10% of the
ownership units of NVA White Pine/nVeterinary Management, LLC. The
purchase price will be calculated based on 9.5x/nthe trailing
twelve months EBITDA of White Pine at the time of purchase. At
any/ntime after the seven-year anniversary of the date of purchase,
you will have/nthe option to sell to NVA any or all of your units
in White Pine. Upon the/nearlier to occur of (i) any separation of
employment (e.g., resignation,/nretirement, termination, death,
etc.) or (ii) the 10th anniversary of the date/nof purchase, NVA
will have the option to purchase any or all your units in/nWhite
Pine. For purposes of the Put Option or the Call Option, the
purchase/nprice shall be calculated based on 9.5x the then trailing
twelve months EBITDA/nof White Pine at the time the Put Option or
Call Option Skills and Basic/nQualifications /n - Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or/n equivalent, from an
accredited university. /n - Licensure in good standing to practice
in Arizona /n - Leads employees by coaching, correcting,
developing,/n and motivating them to achieve success. /n - Engages
with NVA leadership effectively in order to/n drive outcomes at the
clinic level. /n - Models a professional and courteous manner with
staff/n and clients. /n - Previous ownership experience is a plus
