Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Location: Yuma, AZ, Trauma Level 2 Unit: PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care Care Setting: Acute Care Division: Nursing Start Date: 07/28 (Non-flexible) Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights | Time: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend days/month (Fri–Sun depending on shift) Floating: ICU and MS floors Scrubs: Navy Blue ? Requirements - Experience: Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Stepdown/Tele experience (no first-time travelers) - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX accepted) - License to Submit: Yes - BSN Required: No - Must-Have Skills: - Telemetry interpretation - Experience with titratable drips: amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitro, insulin - Cardiac experience preferred: TAVR, CABG patients, etc. Unit Details - Beds: 36 - Nurse-Patient Ratio: - Days: 1:4 - Nights: 1:5 - Common Diagnoses: CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacemaker, TAVR, CABG (day 2), Watchman, bradycardia, VT, post-cath recovery, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-op, low hemoglobin/BP - Charge Nurse: Present, non-assigned (rare exceptions) - Support Staff: PCA support (8–12 patients per PCA) - Equipment: BiPAP, High Flow, Stable Trach - Telemetry: Monitored, travelers must read strips; dedicated monitor tech on unit - Charting System: EPIC - Orientation: 1 day NEO, 1 day clinical ed, 1 day floor orientation About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
