Position overview
Position title: Neuro-Oncology FacultySalary range: The posted UC
Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined
by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base
pay range for this position is $90,700 - $238,300. Salary is
negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if
the position includes membership in the Health Sciences

Position description
The Department of Neurosciences ( ) and Moores Cancer Center
(cancer.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego are committed to academic

delivering outstanding patient care to join the Neurosciences and
Medical Oncology faculty.
UC San Diego has a strong history of leadership in neuro-oncology
research and clinical care, offering extensive opportunities for
interdisciplinary collaboration with Neurosciences, Neurosurgery,
Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and basic science programs.
The Moores Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive
Cancer Center in San Diego, is a hub of excellence in research,
treatment, education, and prevention, serving patients across
Southern California. Located in La Jolla, California, UC San Diego
offers a vibrant academic and professional environment, with
exceptional schools, a thriving arts community, and an unmatched

The selected candidates will play a key role in enhancing UC San
Diego's neuro-oncology program, include developing and implementing
cutting-edge clinical trials and contributing to the growth of the
program's clinical services. The selected candidates will also
teach and mentor medical students, residents, and clinical fellows,
as well as provide clinical care to patients with neuro-oncologic
disorders.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee
should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional
activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Candidates must have completed a UCNS-accredited fellowship in
Neuro-Oncology.
Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in
Neuro-Oncology and must have, or be eligible for, a California
medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by
the Medical Board of California.
