Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Department of Medicine () at the University of California, San Diego, the Division of Regenerative Medicine, in cooperation with the Sanford Stem Cell Institute is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body seeks faculty applicants dedicated to making advances in stem cell research.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the clinical translation of stem cells and will participate in university service, and graduate and undergraduate teaching.

The appropriate series and appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level based on the candidate's background and experience. Series will include In-Residence with secured extramural funding, Clinical X, HS Clinical, and Adjunct.

Qualifications


Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD or PhD in Regenerative Medicine, Cell Biology, or related fields. Candidates with an MD must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/ permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must have a minimum of two or more publications in recognized journals.
